What you will be doing:
- Responsible for the day-to-day aspect of banquet operations to ensure events are executed at a luxury level (maintenance before during and after the events)
- Providing engaging and luxury service to our guests and colleagues
- Supervise the event team and ensure service standards are followed
- Liaising with clients to ensure all function details are correct and adhered to
- Conduct pre-shift briefings with colleagues for each event
- Process daily banquet bills
- Accountable to complete daily opening and closing duties
- Responsible to ensure all our guests leave with a positive event experience
- To ensure that all equipment fixtures and furniture of the department are kept in the best repair possible and are used in a safe and proper manner
- Maintain awareness of and ensuring compliance with all food safety & hygiene policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- To follow all department and hotel policies procedures and service standards
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a related role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word Excel Outlook etc.).
- Previous experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently self-motivated and self-directed.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all time
