Job Description

Drive accuracy compliance and insight through expert financial management

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Accountant to manage end-to-end financial operations. This role involves preparing accurate financial reports overseeing bookkeeping ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards and supporting strategic decision-making through financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise proficiency in MYOB and a collaborative approach to working with multiple departments and stakeholders.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis

    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.

    • Monitor and analyze financial performance identifying trends and variances to support strategic decisions.

  • Bookkeeping & General Ledger Management

    • Manage the general ledger including reconciliations of bank statements accounts payable and accounts receivable.

    • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.

    • Ensure accurate and well-documented financial transactions.

  • Taxation & Compliance

    • Prepare financial data for pre-lodgment income tax preparation and gather necessary documentation.

    • Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.

    • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian laws regulations and accounting standards.

  • Software & Systems

    • Maintain and manage financial data using MYOB.

    • Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.

  • Collaboration

    • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

    • Liaise with external auditors during annual audits.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or related field.

  • Proven experience in accounting financial reporting and bookkeeping.

  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements.

  • Proficiency in MYOB and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
