Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Accountant to manage end-to-end financial operations. This role involves preparing accurate financial reports overseeing bookkeeping ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards and supporting strategic decision-making through financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise proficiency in MYOB and a collaborative approach to working with multiple departments and stakeholders.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
Monitor and analyze financial performance identifying trends and variances to support strategic decisions.
Bookkeeping & General Ledger Management
Manage the general ledger including reconciliations of bank statements accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure accurate and well-documented financial transactions.
Taxation & Compliance
Prepare financial data for pre-lodgment income tax preparation and gather necessary documentation.
Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with relevant Australian laws regulations and accounting standards.
Software & Systems
Maintain and manage financial data using MYOB.
Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.
Collaboration
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Liaise with external auditors during annual audits.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
Proven experience in accounting financial reporting and bookkeeping.
Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in MYOB and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
