You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWere looking for an experienced and dedicated MEICA Engineer to join our AFECO team in the Severn Trent Water region based out of our Tamworth office. This is a crucial end-to-end delivery role where you will be responsible for the MEICA elements of a variety of non-infrastructure projects.
You will manage the entire project lifecycle from initial site surveys and design to installation commissioning and final handover. Your deep MEICA expertise will be essential in ensuring projects are delivered safely on time and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery: Manage the day-to-day MEICA installation activities on-site ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations project specifications and quality standards.
Design & Tender: Participate in the tender process and conduct site surveys to inform design and costings. Work with internal and external teams to develop technically viable and cost-effective solutions.
Commissioning & Handover: Oversee the commissioning process to ensure all MEICA assets are fully functional and integrated before preparing and managing the final handover to the client.
Technical & Collaboration: Act as the main technical point of contact for MEICA works liaising with clients subcontractors and suppliers. You will also review and approve technical drawings and resolve any issues that arise.
Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation including site reports progress updates and commissioning records.
Skills Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
Proven experience in a technical engineering or project delivery role within the water or a similar process-driven industry.
Strong all-round MEICA knowledge with experience across mechanical electrical instrumentation and control systems.
Demonstrable experience managing projects from initial design through to commissioning and handover.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A solid understanding of health and safety regulations in a site environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong organizational skills.
A full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
A relevant technical qualification (e.g. HNC HND or degree) in a MEICA-related discipline.
Experience with Severn Trent Water projects.
Experience with non-infrastructure water industry assets like treatment works or pumping stations.
