Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced SAP ABAP Developer with mandatory expertise in SAP ECC (R/3) and a specialization in form development. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining output forms used in critical business processes across modules like SD MM and FI. This role requires deep knowledge of SmartForms SAP Scripts and Adobe Forms along with solid ABAP programming and debugging skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Form Design & Development
- Design and develop output forms using SmartForms SAP Scripts and Adobe Interactive Forms based on business and compliance requirements.
- Customize standard SAP forms to meet country-specific and company-specific requirements (e.g. invoices purchase orders delivery notes payment advices).
2. Integration with Business Processes
- Work closely with functional teams in SD MM and FI to understand form requirements related to billing purchasing logistics and financial documents.
- Ensure forms are integrated seamlessly into existing SAP business processes and triggered correctly via output determination.
3. ABAP Programming & Enhancements
- Develop print programs and driver programs for forms using classical ABAP.
- Implement enhancements BAdIs and User Exits to control data flow for forms.
- Reuse and extend standard SAP logic to support form-specific business needs.
4. Debugging & Troubleshooting
- Perform debugging and issue resolution for errors in form output alignment issues or data retrieval problems.
- Work with end users to gather feedback and enhance output design and formatting (layout language logos barcodes).
5. Documentation & Standards
- Prepare technical documentation for each form object including layout structure print logic and functional integration points.
- Ensure all developments align with SAP naming conventions code quality standards and compliance guidelines.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of SAP ABAP development experience in SAP ECC (R/3).
- Strong hands-on experience with SmartForms SAP Scripts and preferably Adobe Forms.
- Good understanding of output types NAST table output determination procedures and print program logic.
- Solid ABAP skills including ALV Data Dictionary Modularization BAPIs and debugging
- Experience in localization and multi-language form development.
- Familiarity with barcoding digital signatures or PDF archiving.
- Experience with spool management output device configuration and print queues.
- High attention to detail and layout precision.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines under minimal supervision.
