Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace. We are a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners fittings and engineered products for the aerospace defense and industrial markets. CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the United States split among three Segments.

The Job:

Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is looking for an Aerospace Plant Manager. The Plant Manager is responsible for leading and managing all daily operations of the manufacturing facility to ensure efficiency quality safety and on-time delivery of aerospace components and systems. This role oversees production maintenance engineering quality and supply chain functions while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. This onsite role supports two locations Youll get to:

  • Lead plant operations to meet or exceed production quality cost and delivery goals.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO standards FAA regulations and customer-specific aerospace requirements.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to increase productivity and streamline processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma and 5S methodologies.
  • Oversee the planning and scheduling of production to ensure on-time delivery and inventory management.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering and Supply Chain teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Lead coach and develop a team of managers supervisors engineers and production employees.
  • Strong track record of operational leadership and full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics; prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership.
  • Manage budgets control costs and identify opportunities for savings.
  • Support new product introductions and process qualifications.

The Person:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering Operations Management or a related field (Masters preferred).
  • 710 years of experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing with 35 years in a plant or operations leadership role including P/L responsibility.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace industry standards including AS9100 and FAA regulatory requirements.
  • Proven success in leading high-mix low-volume or complex manufacturing environments.
  • Strong leadership organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP Oracle etc.).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Primarily onsite role in a manufacturing environment.
  • May require occasional travel to customers suppliers or corporate locations.

  • Hands-on leadership style with a focus on team development.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Track record of improving efficiency reducing waste and enhancing product quality.
