Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 (based on degree)
Essential functions of this job include but are not limited to:
- Learns new tasks remembers processes maintains focus completes tasks independently makes timely decisions in the contexts of workflows and is able to complete tasks that have a speed and/or productivity quota.
- Actively seeks develops and maintains positive working relationships with public and private employers to identify employment resources for clients. Researches new methods for increasing employment contacts.
- Coordinates frequently with Ohio Means Jobs and other community partners to successfully employ clients.
- Effectively coordinates the use of community resources and partnerships for clients participating in vocational training programs. Documents participation in these services.
- Conducts training on employment issues including but not limited to: job readiness vocational choices resume writing grooming interviewing prosocial on-the-job behaviors and job retention skills.
- Verifies and assesses suitability of clients employment. Maintains contact with clients employers to ensure long term placement. Documents all contact in an accurately and timely manner. Assists clients in planning structured job searches.
- Follows employment procedures as detailed in the Employment Manual. Assists program management with revising manual to ensure it is up to date.
- Consults regularly with Agency management to identify and implement new programs or modifies existing programs for vocational training and employment opportunities for clients.
- Assesses and assists clients upon intake with obtaining proper identification (e.g. social security card birth certificate) for employment purposes.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree required. Employment placement experience preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio drivers license reliable transportation and a driving record that does not preclude the employee from being covered by Agency liability insurance. Accuracy and strong organizational skills required. Must have the cognitive skills needed to complete tasks including abilities such as learning remembering focusing categorizing and integrating information for decision making problem solving and comprehending. Has the ability to perform under stress and/or in emergencies. Must have ability to effectively work with Agency employees outside contacts and a diverse client population.
