A Day in the Life of a Switchboard/Receptionist - Communications

In this role you will handle incoming calls and pages with a focus on efficiency and courtesy ensuring all communications are processed accurately and politely. You will serve as the public face of our medical center promoting a positive image through effective interaction with patients physicians visitors and coworkers. Confidentiality is paramount as you will handle sensitive information with discretion. You will be expected to adapt swiftly in emergency situations demonstrating resourcefulness and calm under pressure. Alongside these responsibilities you will also manage some secretarial duties including mail distribution and other assigned tasks contributing to the overall smooth running of our facility.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Required

  • Ability to operate all equipment for this position
  • Successful completion of data entry and general clerical standards
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred

  • Previous secretarial experience
