JOB SUMMARY:
The Rework Technician III will be responsible for organizing planning and guiding the rework/prework activities to ensure our products meet the necessary standards and addition this role will serve as the primary point of contact for all product rework requirements. The Rework Technician III will operate in a lead capacity related to the training and development of junior team members.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads the daily activities of the rework team and ensures projects are completed on time to specifications and with accuracy and efficiency.
Acts as the go to person for all product needs for Direct to Consumer and truck shipments.
Routinely monitors the Rework/Prework schedule to ensure timely completion and smooth workflow.
Partners with management to determine if any rush orders are needed for production.
Leads the rework operation by initiating and generating work orders through the AS400 system and prioritizing work orders according to shipping requirements.
Verifies component inventory and creates location sheets using the Logimax system.
Compiles work orders and transfers them to material handlers for retrieving components from the warehouse.
Prints 2up labels and license plates required for work orders updating the inventory into our system.
Utilizes a pallet jack to arrange product pallets at designated tables.
Maintains the Rework spreadsheet for tracking purposes.
Reviews work order requirements with the team and completes inspections to ensure accuracy.
Collaborates with cross-functional departments to address any work order related concerns.
Takes the lead on enhancing processes/procedures and resolving issues.
Guides the team in the development and use of standard work instructions.
Conducts on-the-job training as needed.
Ensures all safety policies and processes are followed.
Supports management in maintaining sufficient staffing.
Oversees sample requests and ships the required items when required.
Inspects products and provides necessary item pictures as needed.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required
Proven ability to lead others is required
Prior experience using a pallet jack is required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
Basic Math skills
Problem solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in MS Office
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to withstand periods sitting at a desk as needed
Occasional use of upper extremities to perform keyboard functions and work on a computer
Ability to operate a pallet jack
Ability to life carry push and/or pull objects weighing up to and including 35 pounds
Ability to frequently stand/walk
