DUTIES:
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for performing direct student care and student care related activities including but not limited to: personal care activities of daily living and other clinical skills necessary to meet the objectives stated in the individual student plan of care. These require tasks and other administrative duties and responsibilities will be assigned and directed by the Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse and Classroom Teacher
CNAs may help deliver the educational component by assisting the student with hand over hand and other similar physical exercises with respect to the student(s) physical limitations in demonstrating his/her ability to perform the educational tasks as instructed by the teacher(s). CNAs assigned to a 1:1 role are primarily responsible for student safety direct and indirect student care and should actively facilitate the students learning. CNAs shall not do classroom coverage in the absence of the classroom teacher.
