Job Description

The Contact Center Sales Representative in JM Associates Federal Credit Union (JMAFCU) will process new membership applications by phone and online as well as new loans for existing and new members. This individual will maintain a high level of member service cross-selling products and services through a consultative approach with a strong knowledge of JMAFCUs products and services as well as credit reports and consumer lending. The role will be required to operate by phone and in a digital not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet and/or exceed new loan volume new membership credit life and disability sales and warranty sales goals.
  • Consistentfollow up with members to ensure the loan and/or membership is funded and closed.
  • Process and close loans and memberships remotely from start to finish using e-signature platform
  • Cross-sell products and services to enhance the member experience and meeting member needs. Make outbound calls that generate added loan volume for the credit union
  • Act as the home equity specialist for the contact center
  • Process home equity loans and referring first mortgage opportunities to the lending department for further consideration
  • Introduce new hires to the credit union through outbound calls generating new members and loans through a consultative needs approach
  • Assist contact center service representatives as needed. Respond and troubleshoot incoming member requests from all avenues of member communications and ensure every member request is followed to completion. Assist with projects as assigned collaborate with other departments to achieve desired results for the credit union and complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Six months or more of customer service and sales experience
  • Demonstrated success in a sales role
  • High School or GED required
  • Diplomacy and tact in a phone and/or digital environment.
  • The ability to work independently
  • Motivate and influence
  • Resourceful and organized working in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and follow-up
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills to include Microsoft Office
  • Physical Requirements: To sit talk and work extended periods at one workstation. The associate will be required to wear an earpiece or headset. Long hours at a computer working independently or with limited supervision
