Job Description
- Lead and supervise underground mining operations in line with statutory and site requirements.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation mine safety management plans and operational procedures.
- Foster a team environment that prioritises safety efficiency and well-being.
- Mentor and develop team members empowering them to perform at their best.
- Collaborate with other leaders to achieve production and maintenance goals.
Selection Criteria
Those wishing to be considered for this opportunity need to address the following criteria in their application.
- Certificate of Competency as a Deputy Undermanager or Mine Manager.
- Current Practising Certificate and up to date logbook.
- Leadership skills / experience with a focus on managing a team operating in an underground environment.
- Experience in the prioritisation of panel resources to optimise and continually improve results while safely maintaining and improving standards.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate influence and communicate both verbally and in writing at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage all activities in accordance with relevant WH&S and Environmental obligations.
