Position: Restaurant Supervisor (Front of House)
Department: Hualapai Lodge
Classification: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: H4
Supervisor: Manager or Assistant Restaurant Manager

Position Summary:
Supervise restaurant staff responsible for greeting and seating guests providing menu and daily special information taking orders serving guests busing tables and handling guests check out and payment. Ensures that the team is providing outstanding and prompt customer service at all times. Monitors speed of service guest interactions quality and quantity of food served and overall service level provided. Responsible for coordinating daily work schedules of staff. Works with kitchen staff managing guest service. May assist with cashier host or server duties as needed.
Knowledge and Abilities:
  1. Demonstrated ability to communicate well and interact with guests and staff in a clear concise manner providing prompt outstanding customer service.
  2. Demonstrated ability to use POS systems and handle cash and credit transactions while following proper cash handling policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to reconcile cash drawer and end of day sales reports.
  3. Ability to lead coach train and develop staff in all aspects of their jobs. Foster a team environment multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationships.
  4. Demonstrated ability to handle all restaurant front of house duties.
  5. Demonstrated ability to handle difficult guest relation situations.
  6. Ability to work with appropriate related computer software.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Direct supervision of Hosts/Hostesses Buspersons Cashiers and Waiters/Waitresses serving the restaurant front of house. Coordinate daily work schedules and assignments of staff.
  2. Ensure sound health and sanitation policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  3. Ensure high food quality and service standards and that customers are receiving food promptly.
  4. Manage difficult guest relations situations.
  5. Perform regular and timely Performance Evaluation discussions and documentation with members of team and promote team environment while providing individual growth opportunities for Direct Reports.
  6. Lead coach train develop and motivate team members in all aspects of their jobs.
  7. Model outstanding customer service in all interactions with guests.
  8. Assist in monitoring labor costs.
  9. Ensure all communications are shared with employees in a timely and accurate manner as appropriate.
  10. Foster a team environment multi-task efficiently and maintain positive working relationships.
  11. Keep the Restaurant Manager apprised of all issues and concerns.
  12. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. Good oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  2. High School Diploma or GED.
  3. Current Food Handlers Card.
  4. Serv Safe Certification.
  5. Prior experience in restaurant leadership or service industry preferred.
  6. Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
Working Conditions:
Restaurant environment. Must be able to work extended periods while standing. Must be able to work varying schedules weekends and holidays.

Grand Canyon Resort Corporation (GCRC) is wholly-owned by the Hualapai Tribe and is located in Peach Springs 1988 the Hualapai People who have been part of this land since time immemorial established GCRC welcoming millions of visitors each year to tour the area. The year 1883 is when the reservation was established and occupiers are usually foreign to the land they occupy. To further increase tourism in the area the Grand Canyon Skywalk was built in 2007. The Skywalk is a glass horseshoe-shaped bridge that enables visitors to walk beyond the canyon walls at Grand Canyon West suspending them 4000 feet above the riverbed and providing an unparalleled view of this natural wonder.
