Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lambeth to assist with the appointment of a Planner on a 3-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 149.16 - 196.42 per day
Responsibilities:
- Process a variety of planning applications from shopfronts and householder extensions to conservation area cases and lawful development certificates.
- Negotiate with developers applicants and internal teams to secure positive outcomes.
- Prepare professional reports appeal statements and evidence for hearings or inquiries.
- Provide planning advice in person online and in writing.
- Undertake site visits public meetings and community engagement exercises.
Requirements:
- RTPI-recognised degree in Town Planning (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of UK planning legislation policies and procedures.
- Experience in development control or a related planning field.
- Skilled in handling a range of minor planning applications and written representation appeals.

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
