Job Description
Job Title: Senior Toolmaker.
Salary: up to 45000 benefits including learning & development.
Shift: Days only Monday - Friday.
Industry: Plastics Manufacturing.
Synergi is recruiting for a Senior Toolmaker to join a large Industrial site in the Hayes area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy site with a range of machinery. The successful Senior Toolmaker will be joining an experienced team with a vast amount of industry knowledge.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- To manufacture all work as specified by the Tool Order Request using current issue design drawings.
- To be capable of working to BS 308 drawing standards and its associated BS standards.
- Confident using various methods of measurement with equipment such as: Micrometres Verniers Slip gauges Pin and Thread gauges Shadow graph etc.
- Responsible for the repair maintenance and improvement of mould and press tooling.
- Responsible for inspecting and testing your work to ensure all tooling lies within specification meets quality standards and functional requirements.
- To comply with all current work instructions operable within your area of activity.
- To comply fully with all current Health and Safety regulations in operation within the Company whilst carrying out your toolroom duties.
- Responsible for basic machine maintenance and good housekeeping.
Ideal background:
- Engineering qualification / time served apprenticeship.
- Hold a current Abrasive Wheels Regulations certificate.
- Laser welding experience is desirable.
- Be aware of current moulding and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to progress and troubleshoot/investigate multiple jobs simultaneously.
