What You Will Do
Facilities Management is seeking to hire a Steam and Power Plant III. The purpose of this position is to operate and maintain all heating cooling and ventilation equipment. Also this position will operate and maintain campus utilities such as gas water and power. This position is also responsible for the operation of other building systems such as life safety elevators swimming pools plumbing and electrical.FLSA: Non-Exempt
-Two (2) years (24 months) of work experience in the maintenance and operation of steam and power plant equipment.
-One (1) year (12 months) of work experience in a position comparable to the Steam and Power Plant II.
-Possession of current/valid licenses and certificates as required by the employing institution.
Preferred Qualifications
-A working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of boilers centrifugal chillers pumps and compressors.
-The ability to read meters check water levels temperatures.
-The ability to operate various types of mechanical and electrical equipment.
-The ability to respond to fire alarms and troubleshoot fire alarm trouble calls.
-The ability to conduct chemical analysis of boiler water and make chemical additions based on the analysis.
