MetaPhase is seeking a passionate and collaborative Junior Developer to join our Technology Transformation practice. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in software development who is eager to grow their technical expertise and make a meaningful impact supporting mission-driven federal clients. Youll be part of a cross-functional team developing modern scalable applications and automating solutions that matter.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Support the design development and deployment of software solutions across client engagements.
- Writing and maintaining clean efficient and secure code using JavaScript.
- Reviewing and troubleshooting HTML and CSS.
- Participate in sprint planning daily scrums and code reviews as part of Agile teams.
- Supporting DevSecOps processes.
- Collaborate with UX designers DevOps engineers and QA testers to deliver high-quality software.
- Build and test REST APIs automate tasks and assist with cloud-based development environments.
- Troubleshoot bugs and assist with resolving production issues under supervision.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing efforts including brown bags wikis and technical documentation.
What We Need From You (Required):
- 12 years of software development experience (internships or academic projects may be considered).
- Familiarity with modern development stacks such as MEAN MERN or MAVN
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Git version control.
- Basic understanding of DevSecOps approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with a desire to learn and grow in a collaborative consulting environment.
- U.S. Citizenship (required for Federal contracts).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Bonus Points (Desired):
- Experience with Unison PRISM software product.
- Exposure to AWS Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps or Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Docker Terraform Jenkins).
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React Angular or Vue).
- Knowledge of or experience with AI for code generation and testing.
Work Setup:
- Remote (East Coast U.S. locations preferred to align with client inWashington DC)
Clearance & Education:
- Must be eligible for Public Trust.
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science or a related field preferred.
Compensation:
Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $70k - $84k.
