The mission of the North Carolina Division of Workforce Solutions (DWS) is to develop North Carolinas workforce talent help individuals advance their career opportunities and meet business workforce needs by connecting talent to jobs. NCWorks Career Centers provide a full range of services to diverse categories of job seekers and employers to meet their employment and placement needs through assessment and development of job requirements; evaluation of experiences skills and abilities; referral to jobs job training programs and other placement services.
This position provides the oversight and supervision of NCWorks team members in Johnston County NCWorks Career Center. The position supervises coordinates administers and manages professional employees both permanent and temporary engaged in providing information guidance and assistance to customers seeking employment and employers seeking workers through the full range of programs for the Division of Workforce Solutions (DWS).

Knowledge Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Applicants who possess the following qualifications may receive management preference.- Thorough knowledge of the organization operations and objectives of the Division of Workforce Solutions and local Workforce Development boards.
- Thorough knowledge of industrial and employment conditions within the State as well as a wide range of human resource programs offered in the service area.
- Ability to plan assign direct and review the work of subordinate staff in the varied areas of technical and administrative responsibility.
- Experience with WIOA and/or Federally funded Workforce Development Programs and Policies.
- Experience in Human Services field related to job placement recruitment and other viable Human Resources functions.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in public or private employment service-related work including two years in a supervisory capacity; or
Associate degree from an appropriately accredited institution and six years of experience in public or private employment service-related work including two years in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Supplemental and Contact Information
