Job Summary
The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production operations at our resin material manufacturing plant ensuring that resin batches are produced safely efficiently and in compliance with quality standards. This role bridges hands-on production with team leadershipmanaging workflows supporting team members and assisting the Production Supervisor to meet production safety and quality goals.
Responsibilities:
- Run daily standups communicating goals/performance to team members and identify any help needed
- Oversee resin batch preparation review recipes and ensure timely completion to meet production schedules.
- Coordinate and monitor daily production activities to maintain steady workflow and minimal downtime.
- Support and lead team members by assigning tasks monitoring performance and providing coaching and feedback.
- Monitor and understand accurate live inventory of raw materials work-in-progress (WIP) and completed batches.
- In partnership with Maintenance and Engineering identify and resolve production or equipment issues that could impact schedules or product quality.
- Assist in weekly planning and scheduling to meet production targets.
- Provide training and onboarding for new production team members.
- Recommend and implement process and procedural improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure the production area remains safe organized and compliant with all quality and operational standards.
- Ensure compliance with all Formlabs and local state and federal health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and ability to set an example.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized with effective time management skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while supporting team success.
- Reliable attendance and commitment to operational excellence.
- Strong continuous improvement mindset
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior leadership or team lead experience is strongly preferred.
