Summary

*This position is open to current King County Employees only.*

The Finance and Business Operations Division (FBOD) is committed to the philosophy that Better Never Stops and we are looking for a Program and Lean Project Manager to support our continued improvement.

About the Role:
As a key member of the Procurement & Payables section you will provide strategic program and project management support to leadership and cross-functional teams. Your work will help ensure that over $3.2 billion in annual expenditures and $4.7billion in payables across 120 departments providing essential services to King County residentsare executed on time within budget and at the highest quality standards.

You will guide and support seven internal teams focused on reimagining the way King County delivers value through its procure-to-pay operations. With a strong emphasis on innovation operational excellence and equity and social justice youll play a vital role in shaping a supplier community that reflects and serves the diverse needs of our region.

The
Finance and Business Operations Divisions mission is to provide exceptional customer value for accounting procurement treasury and small business services. We are actively seeking employees whose behavior is in alignment with our core values.

Position Information:

  • Work Site Details:The work associated with this position will primarily be office requirements are set to 2 days per week. These are assigned days of the week. This may change as required by King County business needs and for meetings/events.
  • Location Requirement:Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
  • Work Schedule:This position is Exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and therefore is NOT overtime eligible. Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule every other Thursday comprising a 40-hour workweek; normally 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Union Representation:This position is Teamsters 117 represented.

Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop. When working remotely employees must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours and follow FBODs hybrid/remote Guidelines including on-camera participation during virtual video meetings. King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely.
