Job Description

Supplier Quality Superintendent - 787 Program

Company:

BCA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program facing Supplier Quality Superintendent (Level M) to join our team in North Charleston supporting the 787 program.

This role is critical in ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the supply chain and production processes. The ideal candidate will have a background in supplier quality production and program quality with a proven ability to navigate conflicts and foster collaborative relationships.

Key Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead manage and oversee quality processes to ensure all incoming materials/parts/assembly meet quality standards and specifications

  • Lead and execute supplier quality investigations to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions

  • Lead and execute supplier quality receiving inspections at Main Airport campus and GXO warehouse in Hanahan SC to protect the programs QMS

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including production engineering and supply chain to drive quality improvements and resolve quality-related issues

  • Prepare and present executive reports on supplier quality performance trends and improvement initiatives for area of responsibility

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with suppliers to promote a culture of quality safety and continuous improvement

  • Navigate conflicts effectively facilitating discussions to reach mutually beneficial solutions

  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics providing feedback and support to suppliers as needed

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company quality standards

  • Lead motivate train coach and manage a team of First Line Leaders supporting Supplier Quality across the Charleston Site

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 5 years of experience in aerospace production/manufacturing quality or a regulated industry

  • 5 years of experience developing and reporting performance metrics

  • 5 years of experience presenting to executive level management

  • 5 years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role

  • Bachelors degree in engineering quality assurance or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in Lean and Quality process improvements/initiatives

  • Experience with our QMS (quality management system) quality handbook AS9100

  • Experience resolving complex issues with innovation using various problem solving methods and critical thinking skills

  • 3 years of experience with MS Excel Tableau and data modeling

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate conflicts and build partnerships with suppliers teams and internal stakeholders

Shift:

This position is 1st shift. Requires working a weekend rotation currently expected to be one (1) weekend per month based on business needs.
