Job Description
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $56000-$60000 commensurate with experience and qualifications; comprehensive benefits package
Job Terms:
- 8 hours a day
- 194 days per year
Desired Qualifications:
- A Bachelors degree in Social Work Education or other related field
- Preferred: 3 years experience in Education Social work Psychology or another similar field
- Preferred: Familiar with Restorative Practices PBIS and/or other behavior management techniques
- Preferred: Familiar with Trauma Informed Instruction
- Understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports
- Experience in delivering professional development
- Believes that all students can succeed with the proper support
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Willingness to look at situations from multiple perspectives and with an open mind
Job Description:
- The Behavioral Specialist will include monitoring truancy behavior and academics. Communicate with families and staff. Additionally providing Tier 2 academic and behavior support to students check in/check out with students and other duties as assigned. Training will be provided as needed.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Work cooperatively with building administrators.
- Work with small groups of at risk students or individuals to improve attendance behavior and academics
- Monitor attendance and behavior
- Support administration with student discipline
- Consult with school student support specialist social worker and teachers
- Coordinate Child Study Team meetings and support 504 plans
- Present Social Emotional Learning lessons from curriculum to middle school students
- All other duties as assigned
