Hastings Deering (Australia) LtdWe are seeking a Maintenance & Engineering Manager to lead our Dragline and Electric Rope Shovel (ERS) service support portfolio. This is a permanent role based in our Mackay branch.
About the Role
In this leadership position you will be responsible for managing the Technical Specialist and Field Service teams specific to Draglines and ERS equipment. You will lead a skilled team delivering safe & profitable strategic service support by providing tailored solutions to support our customers and build market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all staff working within the assigned region achieve Zero Harm driving a safety-first approach.
Deliver safe and profitable field service & technical expertise to Dragline & ERS customers.
Ensure team is utilising agreed methods and measures to produce reliable results and quality standards.
Support customer engagement processes and build trust-based relationships.
Develop team structures and processes to ensure depth and capability within your direct reports and their team.
Assist in resolving inefficiency issues to provide the best outcome for all stakeholders.
Manage financial processes and systems to ensure key financial metrics are achieved for ongoing financial performance and profitability.
Ensure the CAT product within the dealership is performing to customers expectations and drive product performance.
Monitor and challenge the competitive landscape implementing tactical strategies.
About You
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
Tertiary qualifications in Business Commerce Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar management or leadership role.
Experience with both Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar equipment with in-depth knowledge of associated business systems and processes. Direct experience with Dragline and ERS machinery will be highly regarded.
Knowledge of industry legislative requirements operational regulations safety finance and an understanding of dealer distribution models.
Proven experience with contract and risk accountability.
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders and customers with professionalism discretion and confidence.
