Assist in troubleshooting and repairing building systems including packaging and handling machinery plumbing kitchen equipment roofing drainage shop and grounds equipment and HVAC systems.
Clean lubricate and service a variety of mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic devices such as pumps valves and controls.
Support installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
Replace and repair building finishes including ceiling tiles door hardware wallpaper and perform painting of walls piping floors and equipment.
Evaluate maintenance operations and recommend upgrades or cost-saving opportunities.
Demonstrate competent knowledge in the use and care of tools and equipment for facility and grounds maintenance.
Respond promptly to emergency situations and customer service requests.
Conduct inspections of buildings grounds and equipment to identify unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform preventive maintenance.
Operate and maintain fire and life safety systems including fire alarms fire pumps and related equipment.
Perform carpentry tasks and snow removal as needed.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes regulations and company policies related to building operations.
Practice safe work habits at all times.
Utilize technology such as smartphones tablets computers web-based applications and building automation systems.
Complete all required C&W safety training annually.
Adhere to C&W uniform dress code and maintain a neat professional appearance on-site.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
Technical vocational or on-the-job training in one or more of the following areas: HVAC electrical mechanical process controls mechanical power transmissions painting plumbing carpentry or engine repair.
Valid drivers license (commercial license may be required) with a clean driving record and periodic checks.
Basic computing skills in Microsoft Outlook Excel and Word.
Work Environment
This role operates in a professional office setting and may also involve work in industrial or warehouse environments. Standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers and fax machines are routinely used. The technician may be the only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts and may be required to work extended hours during emergencies or priority situations. Shift work and on-call duties may be required.
