Job Description
Diesel Mechanic 6 Month Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular services maintenance and repairs on all value vehicles as per the job card.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Ensure that flat rates for repairs are adhered to.
- Sign off job cards tick off service schedules and book all spare parts used (e.g. engine oils) on the job card.
- Fit the next service sticker and doublecheck all work completed by the assistant.
- Ensure vehicles are out of gear before starting any work.
- Be available for standby or breakdowns after hours when required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications: Grade 12 (Matric).
- Certification: Tradetested mechanic.
- Experience: 23 years in a workshop environment specifically in repairing trucks.
- Additional Skills: Experience with Mercedes and Scania
