Key purpose:
The Information Communication System (ICS) Project Management Office (PMO) a unit within the ICS department is a central point of contact for all projects and defines and upholds project management standards and processes. While the PMO provides directive and processes for successful delivery of projects on time in acceptable quality and on budget it primarily monitors project governance to all projects from initiation planning execution to closing the project and is responsible for reporting on these projects. Further the ICS PMO defines maintains and ensures implementation of project Management standards across the department and monitors and reports on departmental projects to toptier management thus fostering strategic decision making.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Plan execute and deliver projects in accordance with strict deadlines scope and within budget this includes coordinating the efforts of team members and thirdparty contractors in order to deliver projects in line with defines objectives and quality
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end
- Define project scope goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Develop fullscale project plans and associated communications documents
- Use best practices and methods to estimate resources needed to achieve project goals
- Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
- Successfully deliver projects within Scope Time and Budget while maintaining a Quality results
- Compile End to End project documentation for the assigned project
- Proactive engagement all project stakeholders and escalation when required
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team early
- Identify and manage project dependencies and constrains from initiation to closeout
- Ability to use appropriate tools (MS Project and others) to plan and schedule project timelines and milestones
- Coach mentor motivate and supervise project team members
- Conduct postdelivery/postimplementaion reviews and manage generated knowledge
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelors degree in computer science business or a related field
- 8 years of project management and related experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Prince2 or any project management certification
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools methodologies and best practices
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
