MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Matric
  • B. Comm Degree / Diploma in Marketing / Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Marketing Manager in a Retail or similar environment
  • Experience in Brand & Marketing strategy / marketing campaigns / digital marketing & social media / marketing budgets / market research / reporting & KPIs / performance metrics & forecasts / competitive analysis & consumer trends / sponsorships & events / team management
  • Proficient on all MS Office packages
  • Valid drivers license (no endorsements)(ESSENTIAL)
  • Own reliable vehicle / transport

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

Main duties & Job Function:

  • The Marketing Manager will be responsible to lead and manage all marketing efforts to grow the stores brand attract customers and increase sales

Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities: -

Core responsibilities of this role

  • Oversee the implementation of the Brand and Marketing strategy
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns that align with the overall Brand and Marketing Strategy
  • Oversee the implementation of the social media marketing strategy supporting the Digital Marketing
  • Set and administer an annual marketing budget
  • Conduct market research studies and continually review Utilise data for marketing campaigns interrogating the organisations databases and external data
  • Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using pre-determined KPIs
  • Analysing key marketing performance metrics (provided by the Head of Marketing and team) forecasts
  • competitive analyses campaign results and consumer trends to formulate actionable insights for the marketing team

Job Specification

Stakeholder Management:

  • Key liaison for Marketing Director ensuring bi-weekly meetings are arranged and managed
  • Responsible for providing Leadership Team with regular updates and reports as well as presenting all campaign ideas marketing activations and creative materials for approval and sign off
  • Provide updates and insights to key stakeholders from Company and Competitor store visits in regular meetings

Annual Marketing Plan:

  • Develop and execute a plan and strategy that aligns with the overall Brand and Marketing Strategy
  • Provide a campaign and content calendar presented to the Leadership Team at the start of each quarter that includes all seasonal campaigns update on deals and promotions events and any planned activations Responsible for Planning Ideation Briefing and Execution of all Seasonal/Marketing Campaigns. Responsible for the support and delivery of all company Deals Campaigns and Materials across print radio and digital
  • Utilise data for marketing campaigns interrogating the organisations databases and conduct regular consumer research and insights to inform campaign planning.
  • Present a wrap reports each quarter to the Leadership team that analyses key marketing performance metrics and campaign results

Annual Marketing Budget:

  • Set and manage an annual budget presenting this to key stakeholders at the end of the year with updates each quarter
  • Work closely with Traffic manager to ensure the budget is on track.
  • Provide regular updates to all key stakeholders.

Team Management:

  • Guide the day-to-day activities of the marketing team and creative teams managing and developing the team and ensuring resource is allocated efficiently and all deadlines are met.
  • Input processes and systems to improve output and efficiency of the marketing and creative team working closely with the Traffic Manager to implement any necessary changes.
  • : Maintain Daily Weekly and Monthly statuses on ensuring all team members are contributing regularly.
  • Manage the Freelance PR: Set objectives oversee deliverables and execution of tasks

Creative Output:

  • Provide clear and robust briefs to Creative Team for each creative deliverable needed across projects campaigns promotions etc.
  • Allocate design responsibility for each project and campaign with support from the Traffic Manager to ensure resource is managed and deadlines are met
  • Responsible for any new creative being developed including and not limited to campaign assets OOH advertising videos radio ads and packaging.
  • Ensure all assets and materials are consistent with the Company Brand Guidelines.

Digital Marketing:

  • Oversee the implementation of the Digital Marketing Strategy supporting the Digital Marketing Manager in the development and execution of this and ensuring this ladders up to the overarching Brand and Marketing Strategy
  • Ensure social media is incorporated into all wider marketing campaigns and planning

Audience and Industry Insights:

  • Conduct quarterly market research studies and continually review changes to the market and the activities of competitors adjusting the marketing plan if necessary.
  • Conduct Consumer Insights and Surveys to audit any changes in consumer trends customer buying behaviour adjusting the marketing plan and campaigns accordingly.
  • Pull together a team roster to ensure that all members of the team are visiting the Company and Competitor stores every two weeks

Loyalty Programme:

  • Grow and manage the Company Rewards programme by delivering regular marketing campaigns to support the acquisition of new customers and to maintain consistent shopping and use from existing cardholders.
  • Oversee all communications to cardholders

Sponsorships and Events:

  • Analysis the Sponsorship Partners execution and delivery of each Sponsorship partnership with support from Freelance PR.
  • Provide Leadership Team with a robust report and ROI after each activity or donation.
  • Oversee the coordination and management of all events attend/host and provide a wrap report to stakeholders highlighting any uplift in sales. Includes Monthly Vinatix events.
