Job Description

Job Advert Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Manager responsible for the repair of plant machinery and equipment as well as quality control. The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing all staff within the Workshop. Please refer to the minimum requirements duties and responsibilities below for further information.



Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage the workshop team Develop and maintain a sound relationship with operations staff and suppliers Manage the fleet maintenance programme Manage maintenance costs in budgeted cost Manage stores stock levels and the purchase of replacement parts and equipment Working knowledge of maintaining a haulage fleet comprising of truck trailers and loading equipment Manage tyre cost in budgeted cost


Minimum Requirements

  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic (trade papers essential) Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 Diploma / NQF level 6 Minimum of 5 years experience in a managerial role
  • Must have knowledge and experience with Earth Moving / Yellow Equipment Must be able to communicate with all levels of employees Deadline orientated Excellent planning and organising skills
