Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Sports & Leisure Centre Manager for a luxury hotel based in George Western Cape. This role is ideal for a proactive and enthusiastic individual with a passion for sports leisure and guest engagement.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent (required)
Diploma in Sports or Club Management (advantageous)
Valid driver s licence (advantageous)
Minimum of 3 years experience in a 5-star hotel resort gym or sports/golf club in a supervisory or managerial capacity
Strong knowledge of various leisure and sporting activities (e.g. children s programming golf tennis cycling hiking)
Understanding of local and national health and safety regulations
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint) and ERP systems
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute engaging innovative activities for guests and members to drive participation and revenue
Plan and implement vibrant seasonal and festive programmes tailored to a diverse clientele
Lead marketing and communication efforts to promote leisure activities and maximise visibility
Stay informed on trends in resort-based leisure to ensure offerings remain fresh and competitive
Ensure all leisure facilities meet health safety and quality standards
Oversee the daily operations of the Sports & Leisure Centre and Kids Club
Manage departmental budgets and ensure financial goals are met
Recruit train mentor and manage a high-performing team
Oversee administrative tasks such as stock control ordering and inventory
Deliver consistently high levels of guest satisfaction through exceptional service
Handle guest feedback and complaints in coordination with Guest Relations and monitor feedback platforms (e.g. Medallia TripAdvisor)
Coordinate specialist childcare services where required (including babysitting and care for special needs)
