Job Description

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Department. If youre passionate about machinery skilled in fault finding and committed to health and safety we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on mechanical systems

  • Conduct fault finding and root cause analysis

  • Use a variety of tools and instruments (vernier callipers micrometres gauges)

  • Read and interpret technical drawings

  • Fit assemble and repair mechanical components

  • Carry out basic welding (MIG TIG Arc) and fabrication tasks

  • Collaborate with the production team and ensure a safe work environment

  • Maintain detailed job logs and perform visual inspections

Minimum Requirements

  • Red Seal Trade Certificate (essential)

  • Grade 12 or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

  • Advantageous: Welding rigging or safety certifications

Salary: Negotiable
