Job Description
QA Tester
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science.
- 7 years of strong testing experience.
- 4 years of experience in Test Automation and microservices.
- Familiar with testing one or more programming languages as appropriate for specific departmental requirements.
- System Design experience (advantageous).
Additional Requirements
- Mathematical Models Testing.
- Intermediate Excel (creation of test harness in Excel).
- ETL Testing.
Responsibilities
- Create debug verify maintain and update technical test scripts for API testing.
- Test the functionality of systems designed to address business requirements preventing errors/defects in live systems through change control and improvement.
- Support applications with an understanding of system integration test planning scripting and troubleshooting.
- Review project proposals evaluate alternatives provide estimates and make recommendations.
- Identify potential process improvement areas and recommend approaches.
- Perform automated testing with tools like Git JMeter and Postman.
- Understand and execute test processes including requirement analysis test scenario design test case creation test scripting and reporting to stakeholders.
- Validate content from XML databases and flat files using scripts.
- Write tests in JAVA.
- Test RESTful APIs.
- Work with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
- Use Jenkins to build CI/CD pipelines.
- Utilize database and SQL for data validation (extract and write data queries).
- Automate API testing frameworks.
- Test Webservices (Proxy/Business).
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Develop skills in Selenium scripting execution and reporting.
