Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards
- Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address any accounting-related issues
- Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- SAICA OR SAIPA Articles
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Eligible to register as AGSA or Professional Accountant is a plus
