Job Summary

RPO Recruitments client a prominent and well established company in South Africa is currently on the lookout for an experienced and driven Electrical Design Engineer who will be able to lead the electrical design and design coordination for large-scale renewable energy projects including solar PV wind energy LV/MV electrical reticulation networks and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Requirements:

BSc/BEng degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in electrical design with a strong track record in infrastructure projects
Proven experience with grid-tied solar PV wind farm electrical design
Deep understanding of MV/HV substation and overhead line design
Strong knowledge of SANS IEC and local grid code compliance
Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical ETAP DIgSILENT PVSyst Helioscope)
Registered or eligible for registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer
Strong leadership communication and project coordination skills
