Job Description
Understands the role of IT systems in an organization and determines the best technologies to increase an organizations efficiency and effectiveness. The BI Analyst will play a crucial role in analysing data and developing business intelligence solutions to support decision-making processes. This position involves collecting processing and analysing data to provide actionable insights as well as designing and implementing BI solutions to enhance data-driven decision-making. The role requires a strong understanding of data analysis techniques BI tools and the ability to work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Analysis and Interpretation
- Extract clean and analyse data from multiple sources ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Develop and maintain dashboards reports and visualizations to present findings to stakeholders.
- Identify trends patterns and anomalies in data to provide strategic insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Business Intelligence Development
- Design and implement BI tools and systems to streamline data access and reporting processes.
- Work with stakeholders to define KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and metrics that align with business objectives.
- Deploy and optimize data warehouses and ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes.
- Ensure the integrity security and scalability of business intelligence systems.
Strategic Decision Support
- Translate data findings into actionable recommendations for business strategies.
- Monitor business performance and provide insights on areas for improvement.
- Support decision-making for marketing sales operations and financial projects using data-driven models.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to integrate BI insights into day-to-day operations.
Data Governance and Compliance
- Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality and compliance.
- Monitor adherence to legal and regulatory standards in handling organizational data.
- Train teams on best practices for data usage and security.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Data Science or a related field.
- Microsoft certifications in Power BI or related areas are highly desirable.
- Expeprience in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI is required.
- At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in business intelligence data analytics or related roles.
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau Power BI or Qlik Platforms.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and managing databases.
- Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing solutions.
- Understanding of statistical techniques and predictive modeling.
- Experience with APIs web services and third-party integrations.
- Good verbal and communication skills including active listening skills.
- Well-organized with an understanding of business processes and systems.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong computer literacy in relevant applications.
- Solid understanding of planning/project principles tools and techniques.
- Attention to detail; Self-motivated; Pressure-resilient.
- Team player; People and task-oriented.
- Multi-task focused; Out-of-the-box thinking.
- Ability to simplify technical data for non-technical audiences.
