Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of our client a reputable company in the manufacturing and steel industry for a highly skilled Senior Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic group and play a pivotal role in their financial operations and strategic growth. This role will manage the endtoend financial operations of the company ensure accurate and timely financial reporting support strategic decisionmaking and contribute to the overall financial health and sustainability of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full accounting function and financial reporting processes.
- Supervise daily accounts activities and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for internal use and external stakeholders.
- Manage working capital requirements and engage with local and international banks.
- Coordinate the preparation of documents for funding and trade finance.
- Provide financial input into business plans and feasibility studies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Manage and mentor a small finance team to ensure effective delivery and growth
Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years relevant accounting experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Experience dealing with banks trade finance and foreign exchange (forex).
- Proven experience preparing financials for local and international use.
Requirements:
- Location: FullTime Kuils River Cape Town South Africa (Onsite)
- Bcom Accounting completed CIMA or SAIPA/Professional Accountant qualification
Skills and or Characteristics:
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Solid understanding of financial planning budgeting and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Confident in working under pressure and managing competing priorities.
- Integrity and attention to detail.
- Proactive and solutionsoriented mindset.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication.
- Ability to think strategically while managing operational tasks.
- High level of professionalism and accountability
