Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our client s dynamic software development team. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining robust scalable and efficient Android applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain Android applications that meet highquality standards
Ensure coding standards project plans and deadlines are met
Write clean maintainable and reusable code
Prepare test environments and write automated tests
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues (including root cause analysis and fixes)
Perform software deployments following internal procedures
Implement CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices
Maintain technical documentation for code and systems
Collaborate with stakeholders and team members throughout the application lifecycle
Research and apply modern tools and technologies to improve development efficiency
Contribute to user stories estimates and project planning
Participate in agile ceremonies and maintain task tracking in JIRA

Requirements

Education:
National Senior Certificate (Matric)
Relevant diploma or degree in Software Development or IT

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of professional Android development experience using Kotlin.

Core Skills and Technologies

The ideal candidate must be proficient in Kotlin and Java with a strong understanding of Reactive Programming principles. Experience working with CLEAN and MVVM architectures is essential as well as familiarity with automated testing frameworks and modular code design principles. The role requires handson experience integrating RESTful APIs managing code with GIT and working within a Quality Management System (QMS) framework. A solid grasp of modern development practices and tools is critical for success in this position.

The successful candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with the capacity to approach challenges methodically and thoughtfully. Excellent time management skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities are essential in this hybrid work environment.
