Job Description

Key purpose:

As a Junior Ergonomist you will be responsible for ensuring that the employees are provided with an environment that is both safe and healthy. Youll carry out risk assessments to identify hazards review work practices and recommend changes as required. Additionally youll ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1998 (OHS Act) by conducting ergonomic assessments in line with relevant legislation such as the World Health Organisations International Labour Organisations (ILO) guidelines on workplace health and safety. You will also have to undertake detailed ergonomic investigations into specific risks or problems identified during your reviews in order to make appropriate recommendations for improvement.

Key purpose:

  • Implementation of an Ergonomics Standard and related controls for the Group.
  • Apply ergonomics knowledge to execution of tasks:
  • Conduct Ergonomics Risk Assessments
  • Creating an awareness of Ergonomics
  • Identifying ergonomic risk factors or problems
  • Analyse and interprets findings for ergonomics investigations
  • Make appropriate recommendations for ergonomics changes

Qualifications and experience:

  • Degree of no less than three years (NQF 7 or 8)
  • Ergonomics education: total 360 hours
  • 1 years experience in ergonomics preferably in banking industry or corporate industry.
  • Effective communication skills written and oral.
  • Computer literacy in Office Applications
