The Role
To enable the vision I lead stock allocation and inventory optimisation to maximise sales Gross Profit (GP) and reduce dilution.
These expectations drive my success:
- I own the execution of the merchandise strategy and seasonal plans for my brand across all channels.
- I lead the team with a customer mindset and allocate the right stock to the right place at the right time for the customer.
- I inspect Brand and channel results and take action to drive sales and protect profitability.
- I own the exit plan of all SKUs in the most profitable way to free up Open to Buy (OTB) and freshness for our customer.
- I provide volume forecasting and DC projections across all channels to my DC partner.
- I partner with DC to maintain stock availability and manage efficient and effective inventory flow across all channels.
- I regularly complete site visits store visits and DC to validate stock levels identify opportunities to optimise inventory and inspect against the plan.
- I present trade insights data trends and make recommendations to influence product investment decisions with the brand.
- I attend brand milestones to align on the merchandise strategy and VM execution with an external and internal customer mindset.
- I collaborate daily with my VM and Retail partners to execute the plan that delivers results.
- I inspire care for and grow others and myself at every stage of the people lifecycle to facilitate succession.
- I set expectations review performance provide feedback and follow up using the Group performance framework.
- I lead the COG way and build a team of engaged Brand and product ambassadors.
