A leader in the Electrical Engineering field is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer Managerto join their team in Johannesburg. The main purpose of this position is to manage the industrial engineering team of Wadeville and Heidelberg sites in order to optimise efficiencies through the implementation and managing of production philosophies review adjustment and implementation of processes the use of
technology and the identification of deficiencies in the production process. You will be responsible for identifying production needs including equipment and staff with the aim of continue improvement.
In order to be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
Matric
Diploma on Industrial Engineering or higher.
Deep knowledge of production philosophies.
Minimum of five years experience on industrial engineering position in a manufacturing company
whose production line is not limited to standard lines.
Proficient in MS Office & SYSPRO
A legal drivers licence.
The duties of this position entail:
Oversee the industrial engineering department including chrono analyst.
Work closely with sister companies to transfer production methodologies processes and
procedures and reporting templates.
Responsible for the review of production capacity and ensuring the current needs are aligned
with the labour available.
Responsible of all capex investments for both sites.
Coordinate all new buildings layouts and constructions.
Implementation of Operations Committee in order to work in the WEG way.
Lead the team to reach the WEG indicators.
Implement new technologies with focus in productivity and payback.
Spread the WEG culture on site.
Execution of various production methodologies which is under the umbrella of the WEG
Management System (WMS).
Check and monitoring the process to guarantee the WEG quality standards.
Work closely with WTD in transferring processes and procedures from WTD to WTA.
Implement a chrono analyst department to perform the time studies which will be applied in
the cost department.
Review investigate and motivate the purchasing of capital equipment.
This is an On the Road position so you will need to be willing to travel occasionally.
