Job Description

Introduction

To assist with the underwriting audit process on outsource broker binder business partners and UMAs.



Role Purpose

To assist with the underwriting audit process on outsource broker binder business partners and UMAs.



Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent monitoring and evaluation of outsource business broker binder business and UMAs portfolios
  • Fundamental proficiency in system operations is essential
  • Provide support to all GGI internal stakeholder where required
  • Maintaining and building relationships with Outsource and Broker Binder Business Partners
  • Conduct Due Diligence reviews on new partners
  • Compiling tracking and management of audit findings
  • Recommend and guide the implementation of appropriate measures in line with all audit findings
  • Advise on and support the implementation of appropriate underwriting measures in response to audit findings
  • Take appropriate underwriting measures in response to audit findings
  • Build and maintain internal and external relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Stakeholder engagements within various internal and external divisions and partners
  • Must be capable of working independently


Requirements
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • FAIS Completed RE5 Certificate and Credits (60 credits)
  • Possessing an insurance-related qualification is advantageous
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in underwriting oversight and audit management
  • A comprehensive understanding of non-life short term insurance
  • Commercial Lines insurance experience
  • A comprehensive knowledge of non-life short-term insurance underwriting processes and associated complexities
  • Proven track record of underwriting experience e.g. assessing exposure understanding risk reports underwriting levels and risk rating
  • Problem solving skills
  • Must be able to work in Word and Excel
  • General office administration knowledge
  • Must be able to handle pressurized environments
  • Requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy
  • Basic system operating knowledge essential
