Job Description

Financial Manager Production Luxury Wine Estate Franschhoek
Salary: Negotiable DOE

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Manager Production for a prestigious luxury wine estate based in Franschhoek. This position is ideal for an experienced finance professional with a strong background in production or manufacturing and who thrives in a dynamic high-end environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in finance accounting or a related field

  • Professional qualification (e.g. CA(SA) CIMA ACCA) preferred

  • Minimum of five years experience in financial management ideally within a production or manufacturing setting

  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations cost accounting and financial reporting

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English both written and spoken

  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the financial reporting process for production operations

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and other relevant financial regulations

  • Develop and implement internal financial controls and policies

  • Prepare and analyse budgets forecasts and financial models

  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management

  • Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements

  • Analyse cost structures and introduce effective cost-reduction strategies

  • Ensure accurate cost accounting and inventory valuation

  • Optimise working capital including accounts payable and receivable

  • Ensure compliance with tax and VAT legislation and internal company policies

  • Lead and mentor the production finance team

  • Collaborate with production procurement and operational teams to improve financial performance

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
