Job Description

Hire Resolves client a prominent and well-established built environment consultancy specializing in public infrastructure and government-sector developments is currently seeking a Professionally Registered Architectural Technologist ( Tech) for immediate appointment in a Project Management role (please note: no design work will be involved).

Responsibilities

  • Programme management for the TUSK/WCGDoI Management Programme.

  • Managing allocated projects including:

    • Adherence to project cash flow and timelines.

    • Document control and filing protocols.

    • Consultant and contractor performance management.

    • JBCC and NEC contract management.

    • Invoice checking reviews and processing.

    • Oversight of appointments and additional fee justifications.

    • Audit preparation and compliance.

  • General administrative support as required.

  • Support and report to the Programme Manager.

  • Exercise decision-making authority in:

    • Escalating project issues.

    • Ensuring data integrity and compliance with budget/programme.

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Registered Professional Architectural Technologist ( Tech) (Registration with SACAP is essential).

  • Minimum 2 years post-registration experience (Candidate registrations not accepted).

  • Minimum 5 years total experience in the construction industry.

  • Preferably based in Cape Town.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with JBCC 6.2 and NEC 3 & 4 contracts.

  • Ability to review and endorse Contract Instructions & Compensation Events.

  • Experience in government projects is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with cash flow projections.

  • Strong project management and team delegation skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

  • Sound understanding of CIDB PROCSA Fee Scales and Auditor General requirements.
