Job Description
Our client a leading Textile Manufacturing company based in Durban is looking to fill the position of Quality Assurance (QA) Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the quality management system to ensure quality of product
- Ensure that buyers specifications are properly understood
- Ensure that acceptable quality levels of the company is properly maintained and exceeded
- Ensure that all incoming in-process and final goods are properly inspected
- Attend to issues reported
- Ensure continuous training of personnel to enhance their skill
- Ensure control of repairable and washable garments
- Implementation of standards for inspection
- Follow up with the appropriate channels when mistakes are found
- Implement appropriate corrective actions
- Communicate with other team members to solve problems
- Ensure samples sent to buyers meet specifications
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Experience within the textile industry essential
