SAE Institute is looking for a passionate and qualified Game Production facilitator to join their creative academic team. The purpose of this role is to teach Game Production Scripting 3D Asset Creation and Animation and inspire young minds at our De Waterkant campus in Cape Town.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum NQF Level 8 qualification (BA Honours) in the relevant field
- Experience in the field of Game Production Scripting of a minimum of 3 years preferred
- Experience in the field of 3D Asset Creation 3D Modeling and Animation of a minimum of 2 years would be a plus
- Experience in classroom management and workshop facilitation skills in an academic or training environment of a minimum of 2 years preferred
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in game production scripting and relevant game engines Unity (mostly used) and Unreal Engine
- Knowledge and experience in 3D asset creation and 3D animation pipeline (modelling texturing lighting rigging animation) and relevant software (ideally Blender) would be a plus
- 2D Asset Creation skills would be a plus
- Possess communication interpersonal skills administration skills be organised and possess good time management skills
- Collaborative and willing to work with fellow lecturers and the HOA to support students
