Job Description
Are you a seasoned legal professional ready to take on a dynamic role Our client a leader in their industry is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join their established legal department.
In this pivotal role you will be instrumental in managing the company's legal affairs. Your expertise will be crucial in overseeing litigation matters conducting internal investigations and collaborating with external legal partners and insurers. You will spearhead the efficient resolution of negotiations and disputes while taking the lead on drafting reviewing and interpreting a wide range of contracts. As a key advisor to the executive team you will provide timely guidance on all legal matters including contract interpretation dispute resolution governance and regulatory compliance ensuring the business is well-protected and positioned for success.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB)

Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa

A minimum of 6 years of experience in a corporate legal environment

Proven expertise in contract drafting and negotiation

Strong skills in drafting minutes resolutions policies and mandates

Excellent communication presentation and coaching abilities

In-depth knowledge of South African legislation and regulatory frameworks
