Job Description
Junior Accountant to join our Team.
Position: Accountant
Location: Durban KZN
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or relevant field
- A strong understanding of Tax legislation (ETI) (3-5 years exp)
- A strong Understanding Tax year process EMP501 (3-5 years exp)
- Strong knowledge of the payroll cycle
- Strong knowledge of benefits/bargaining councils
- Strong Financial Reporting and Reconciliation skills
- Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs
- Knowledge of Tax Legislation and compliance (Direct and Indirect)
- Advanced MS Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data and compile detailed reports
- Planning and organizing
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills

- Advanced MS Excel and Microsoft Office skills

- VIP -SAGE 300 People - Payroll
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Support month-end and year-end close processes for the group
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Liaise with our Financial Manager to improve financial procedures
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts Monthly
- Assist with tax audits tax returns and employee tax reconciliation (EMP501)
- Direct external audits to ensure compliance
- Preparation of Monthly VAT reconciliation
- All other related tasks
