Job Description
An electrical engineering firm in Nelspruit is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems schematics and layouts for new and existing projects
- Prepare technical documentation including specifications reports and calculations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical Engineers Project Managers and contractors
- Ensure compliance with national and international electrical standards and codes (e.g. IEC BS7671 and NEC)
- Support project delivery from concept through to commissioning
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in electrical design (building services control systems etc.)
- Proficient in AutoCAD Revit or similar design software
- Knowledge of electrical regulations and health & safety standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
