Job Description
Youll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop formulas that reflect market trends and customer needs. From skincare to fragrance and everything in between youll help shape a compelling trend-driven product portfolio.
New Product Development
Translate product ideas into high-performing cost-effective formulations
Manage lab-scale prototyping and testing
Ensure all raw materials and packaging are sourced costed and documented
Collaborate with Marketing Procurement and Quality teams to ensure seamless product launches
Maintain formulation records product specs and technical documentation
Internal Testing & Compliance
Conduct and manage compatibility and stability testing
Maintain a well-organised and compliant lab environment
Ensure accurate regulatory-compliant documentation (INCI allergens usage instructions etc.)
Track developments in cosmetic regulations and clean beauty trends
Project & Supplier Management
Coordinate timelines and deliverables across departments
Liaise with suppliers to evaluate new ingredients and packaging innovations
Attend industry events/webinars to stay ahead of trends and market demands
Provide insight to enhance product innovation pipelines
Qualifications & Experience
A degree in Chemistry Biochemistry Microbiology or related science
35 years in cosmetic product development ideally within skincare or personal care
Experience with small-batch or entrepreneurial production environments is a plus
Proficiency in MS Office and documentation software
Knowledge & Skills
Hands-on formulation and troubleshooting skills
Understanding of CTFA EU cosmetic standards GMP and clean beauty regulations
Familiarity with ingredient regulations claims and labelling compliance
Strong project management and communication abilities
Ability to multitask prioritise and deliver results under pressure
