About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Industrial Relations (IR) Consultant to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing and advising on all aspects of employee relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of South African labour law excellent negotiation skills and a passion for fostering fair and productive workplace environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and support on all IR matters including disciplinary procedures grievances and conflict resolution.
- Represent the company at the CCMA and Bargaining Councils.
- Draft and review employment contracts disciplinary documentation and IR policies.
- Conduct investigations and chair disciplinary hearings.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders trade unions and external legal advisors.
- Monitor changes in labour legislation and ensure compliance across the organisation.
- Deliver training and workshops on IR best practices and legal updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Labour Law Industrial Psychology or related field.
- Minimum of 3 5 years experience in an IR-focused role.
- In-depth knowledge of South African labour legislation (LRA BCEA EEA etc.).
- Proven experience representing employers at the CCMA.
- Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Valid driver s license and willingness to travel.
