Requirements:
- BEng/BSc/BTech Mechanical Engineering
- Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer/Technologist.
- Minimum 5 years of experience specializing in fire engineering.
- Data centre experience advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Consulting engineering and project management for all fire safety and fire system design aspects of projects.
- Develop fire safety plans for evacuation way finding firefighting equipment fire rated construction escape widths etc. including the use of value-added methods such as computer-aided hydraulic design CFD analysis evacuation modelling etc.
- Design fire detection sprinkler systems gas suppression smoke control systems etc. including the use of value-added methods such as computer-aided hydraulic design CFD analysis etc.
- Prepare tender documents and specifications for various fire protection systems and adjudication reports etc.
- Site inspections and construction monitoring.
- Financial management of contracts fee proposals invoicing etc.
