Job Description

Location: Johannesburg (Hyde Park)
Work model: Hybrid 4 days in-office 1 day at home
Salary: R65k CTC - R80k CTC

Our client is a dynamic digital and performance marketing agency with a passion for creating results-driven work. They re looking for a visionary and hands-on Head of Creative Studio to steer their multidisciplinary creative team. If youre excited by big ideas leading talent and raising the creative bar this could be your next great move.

What the job involves..

  • Leading and managing a studio team across copy design motion and digital

  • Overseeing concept development and campaign execution for multi-channel projects

  • Staying hands-on with copywriting art direction and motion design when needed

  • Partnering with strategy media and account teams to align creative with business outcomes

  • Ensuring all creative meets brand strategy and quality standards

  • Mentoring and inspiring designers animators and copywriters

  • Presenting work confidently to internal teams and clients

  • Managing workflows budgets timelines and resources

  • Contributing to pitches and new business efforts

  • Driving innovation and staying ahead of digital and creative trends

What you need to be considered..

  • 7 years in a digital marketing agency with at least 3 years in a leadership role

  • A portfolio that shows off your skills in copywriting graphic design and animation/motion

  • Strong understanding of digital platforms and content best practices

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator After Effects Premiere Pro) and/or Figma

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Proven leadership and team-building capabilities

  • Organised solutions-focused and deadline-savvy

  • Experience handling creative budgets and timelines

Bonus points if you..

  • Have experience with performance-driven creative for paid media

  • Know your way around HTML/CSS or interactive media

  • Have explored AI-powered creative tools

  • Are comfortable driving both brand and direct-response campaigns
